KWS Manufacturing Company is the leader in the design and manufacture of
conveying equipment for the bulk material handling industry.
Aggregate:Used occasionally for handling small capacities of aggregates or
sand. Also used for the air pollution control systems for handling dust.
Brewing:Used for grain and hops conveying and storage.
Cement:Used for handling Portland cement and cement clinker. Also used for
the air pollution control systems for handling dust.
Chemical:Used for handling all types of bulk granular chemicals. Screw
conveyors are ideal since they enclose the material and prevent contamination.
Feed and Grain :Used for truck or rail car dump systems and for elevating
material to top of storage bins.
Food:Used for all types of food handling. Ideal for screws because they can
be fully enclosed and manufactured to meet FDA and USDA standards.
Gypsum:Used for handling raw powdered gypsum. Ideal for screw conveyors
because they can be fully enclosed for dust-tight operation.
Ice Handling:Used for handling crushed ice. Ice can be enclosed in conveyor
and kept clean. Water leakage is eliminated. Typically of galvanized or
stainless steel construction.
Mining and Metals:Used for feeding, conveying, mixing and blending of salt
and other materials. Screw conveyors are typically manufactured from 304 or 316
stainless steel.
Power:Used for industrial and commercial boiler feed and take-away systems.
Feed coal or other products into the boiler and carry fly ash out of the boiler.
Potential hi-temp application.
Pulp and Paper:Used for handling paper pulp, wood waste, sawdust, bark chips,
wood chips and lime.
Poultry Processing:Used for handling offal. Offal is a raw meat byproduct.
Screws enclose the material and can easily be washed down.
Rendering:Used for all material handling. Ideal application for screw
conveyors because material is contained and can be easily washed down.
Wastewater Treatment:Used for de-watering grit and to convey, store and
unload biosolids. Excellent application for shaftless screw conveyors.
