Dura-Belt’s High Temperature Belts are probably the only elastic belts that work well at hot temperatures. These round, heat resistant belts come in two options:
Ultra High Temperature Urethane Belts. Tan color. 90A durometer. Works up to 230oF (110oC). Stretch 4%. Exceptionally strong, durable and long lasting, but relatively expensive. Available only as endless or connectable round belts. Not weldable in the field.
Jacketed Spring Belts. Works up to 450oF (230oC). Available only as endless or connectable round belts. We need to know the installed length (also called fitted length) to size these belts, so use zero percent stretch in our Length Calculator. The cut length will then equal the installed length.
Jacketed Spring Belts* are designed for light duty applications and are not recommended for use on pulley diameters of less than 2" (50mm). They will not work if pulleys are in different planes like on lineshaft conveyors. These belts are composed of an external plastic or rubber jacket and an internal metal spring. The heat resistant spring provides the elasticity, while the flexible jacket is actually under compression, so it does not have to be elastic. They come in two different temperature ratings:
Ultra High Temperature Belts
Heat Resistant Spring Belt
Connectable Spring Belt
To connect belt, screw ends together.
Then pull off yellow tabs.
Up to 250oF (120oC) -- Cyclothane-A urethane jacket with tempered steel spring.
Up to 450oF (230oC) -- Silicone jacket with tempered stainless steel spring.
Company Details
Our company was formed in Ohio in 1987 to sell urethane belts to distributors, installers, and OEMs. In 1991 the company was purchased by Jim Hammond, a physicist who worked at Jet Propulsion Labs and was Director of Technology at Atlantic... more
