Sugar Conveyor - 48" Diameter and 42' Long
This is one of our largest sugar conveyors built to date. The conveyor is 48" in
diameter and is 42' long. The 42' conveyor is designed and built without using
hangers and/or bearings. Notice the size of the pipe to which the ribbon flight
posts are mounted. Deflection is checked before the conveyor is manufactured to
insure the conveyor will meet certain specifications. The entire conveyor is
loaded up and relocated to the onsite application is a matter of a couple weeks.
Live Bottom Bins
An ever-increasingly popular application of screw conveyors is the live bottom
bin configuration. The live bottom bin is configured with two or more screw
conveyors working together to move material as specified by the customer.
The live bottom bin in the top two pictures was used to equally pull material
from the entire span of the bottom of the corresponding hopper (top picture).
Varying the flights in each screw allows the material to be pulled from the
entire bottom of the hopper. No material is dormant in the corners of the bin.
High Polish (Food Grade)
Conveyor Eng & Mfg Co employees pride themselves on quality work. Here is just
one example of the attention to detail and the quality of finish we achieve on
conveyors designed for food grade applications.
Our workmanship on high polish applications rivals the best in the industry.
Mixer Screws
Attached are some pictures of polished ribbon mixer screw. This one has three
different ribbons, is designed for a batch mixing system, and discharges the
material at the midpoint of the trough.
